Stainless Steel DIN 1.4307 Round Bars and Rods are made of approximately 18-20% chromium, 8-12% nickel, and carbon as low as 0.03%, to ensure excellent weldability and corrosion resistance This material contains manganese ( 2%), silicon ( 1%), phosphorus ( 0.045%), and sulfur (0.03%) Occurs in small amounts. Mechanically it gives 520-720 MPa tensile strength, 205 MPa yield strength and 40% elongation at 50 mm gauge length Physically, it has a density of 8.0 g/cm and a melting point of 1400-1450°C. These features make 304L suitable for a variety of applications with high temperature, corrosion and weld-sensitive applications.
