Stainless Steel UNS S31008 Round Bars and Rods are composed of approximately 25% chromium and 20% nickel, with a carbon content of up to 0.08%. This alloy also contains trace amounts of manganese (2%), silicon (1.5%), and phosphorus (0.045%), ensuring excellent corrosion resistance and heat resistance. The mechanical properties include a tensile strength of 515–700 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of 40% in a 50mm gauge length. With a hardness of around 215–500 HB, Stainless Steel 310S offers superior oxidation resistance, making it ideal for high-temperature applications in aggressive environments.
