SS 321 hollow bars are composed primarily of iron, with chromium (17-19%) and nickel (9-12%) as key alloying elements. The addition of titanium (≤0.70%) enhances resistance to intergranular corrosion. This alloy offers excellent strength, toughness, and resistance to oxidation, making it ideal for high-temperature applications. The mechanical properties include a tensile strength of 515-725 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of 40% in 50 mm. It also maintains good weldability and is resistant to scaling and sensitization in temperatures up to 900°C.
