Stainless Steel 310S Rods and Bars exhibit a makeup comprising 24-26% chromium and 19-22% nickel, which provide excellent resistance to oxidation and high temperatures. In addition, the grade has been designed with a reduced carbon content (0.08% max), making it better for its welding and corrosion resistance because it minimizes carbide precipitation. These bars and rods exhibit outstanding mechanical properties among which are 515 MPa tensile strength; 205 MPa yield strength; and 40% elongation. Resistance to strength, heat and durability characteristics make Stainless Steel 310S suitable for such demanding applications as heat exchangers, furnaces, and various other industrial process equipment operating at high temperatures.
